02-14. Central Park Festival Grounds

After a discussion about there being no nice parks in Roaring Heights, I remembered that I had never replaced the Central Plaza with a Festival Lot. I got distracted installing one and having my Nest family test it out.

There were a couple of festival lots that I looked at, but I thought this one from TSR was nice. It includes a Showtime stage, which my RH didn't have either. No CC or Store times, but all expansions and stuff packs required.

I had already created a small park next door to my sims' house with a few attractions, but it wasn't very big.

The only other real park was the small Oceanview Park. It had a couple of picnic tables, swing set and slide, and a large lookout tower.
_____
Here are some views of the new festival park.

_____
Elliot needed to work and couldn't go to the festival until later, but Anabel, Merit, and Sono went earlier. They took a couple of photos at the booth, one with only Anabel and Merit.
And later, the whole family took a photo with a couple of friends.
There weren't many things for toddlers to do, but Merit enjoyed the spring rider.
Sono could skate, but he didn't need any skates to do it! Dyno Marks asked Sono to skate with him. Elliot arrived looking serious as usual.
Live a little, Elliot! Have some cheesy fries.
Sure, leave your toddler on the sidewalk by a busy downtown street. What could possibly go wrong?
Merit saw a snake in the children's play area!
Dyno Marks got his face painted with a unicorn and rainbow.
Grumpo Marks also got his face painted!
Merit had a teddy bear in his inventory to play with. It entertained him while his parents did other things.
The skating rink was a big hit.
Anabel went over to the hot dog eating contest. She was acting a little peaked, so I made her stop when I saw the stuffed moodlet.
I noticed Merit needed to use the potty, and of course there weren't any, so I put one down by the playground.
I also placed a convenient trash can nearby.
That's when I realized Merit was still wearing his pajamas, so I changed him into his everyday outfit.
While I was setting out a potty chair, I also added a xylophone and peg box.
Anabel tried out the water slide.
Even Grumpo had fun on the slide!
Elliot and Sono started a water balloon fight. By then, it was getting dark, and everyone was tired. Time to go home.

02-13. Just for Fun

Some outtakes. All in fun!

Police Lady: Oh Ken, you naughty boy! Give me back my handcuffs!
Police Lady: Hands up, the lot of ya, and no one gets hurt!
David (bragging about his gaming skills): Those newbs won't ever forget ToadMan2Gud!
Hector: Ditch the toad, sweet cheeks, and come home with a real man!
Hector: And there's more from where these came from, baby. I can keep this up all night!
(Hector gave Samantha 4 bouquets just while I was watching!)
David: I saw you trying to steal my flies! Keep your bug-grabbing hands to yourself, fairy!
Rebel Lady: I tell you, these warty mutants are a menace to society! All toads must go! All toads must go!

02-12. Where Were We?

Meanwhile, having been distracted by the Morgans of Roaring Heights again, I have collected several random screenshots of the Elliot Nest family.

Elliot is married to Anabel, a mermaid. Anabel has achieved her Lifetime Wish to be Super Popular. Since she is Irresistible, it didn't take long.
Anabel manages a 5-star resort called The Siren's Retreat. It's within swimming distance of the Nests' home. The resort is very successful and brings in a lot of simoleons.
Elliot is level 10 in law enforcement and has achieved his Lifetime Wish of being an International Super Spy. He's Athletic and Good.
Sono is an unlikely member of the family, but is a great asset. He was created in the future and brought back to Roaring Heights. He contributes in many ways, including working outside the home and developing his own Bot Building talents.
Merit is a toddler mermaid. He has learned many of his skills, but still needs a few more before he can age up.
He and his mother are very close. Anabel loves to take him swimming in the ocean.
Elliot needed to improve his reporting for work, so he dug up some background on a neighbor. Not his favorite part of the job!
He wrote up a report after sorting through garbage. It seems in Roaring Heights there's always something a little shady going on!
Anabel spends most of her time in the family pool. Like Elliot, her Athletic skill is also at level 10.
Sono takes care of most repair work and helps with babysitting too.
Merit has already learned to walk.
Elliot had an opportunity to learn Martial Arts, so I bought a practice dummy and a set of board breaking bricks.
It didn't take long for Merit to learn all he could on the xylophone. And his father quickly reached level 1 in Sim Fu.
Then Elliot earned his level 2 belt in record time.
The Nests are Eternally Faithful and have a solid relationship. They've had adventures together and even experienced some danger, but it only strengthened their bond. Elliot is Brave and Anabel is Adventurous.
The family gets a lot of off-season trick-or-treaters.
Anabel has an opportunity to be friends with Shirley Templeton. She's still working on that.
Merit is a happy little boy, but Elliot has a wish to have another baby with Anabel.
Giving his wife an acupuncture massage might not be the best way of going about that though! (This was his autonomous choice.)
I haven't decided about a new baby yet, but the wish is locked in.
Still, Anabel and Elliot did manage to find some time together--even if Sono was studying Bot Building on their bedroom balcony!
The last time I checked on Elliot, I found him meditating with a candle in the bathroom. What better place to relax and get in touch with life?
