Aliens!

I have mixed feelings about Sims 3 aliens. They're fun to have around, to experience--in small doses. I think alien kiddos are cute, and I've had an elder and a YA alien as active sims too. I have no problem with different types of sims. But what I don't like is the game forcing a pregnancy on one of my sims. I want to be the one to decide that! So yes, aliens coming around my sims (particularly the males) bothers me.

Here's my little alien toddler, Vexok, from one of my early saves. The game lists the human abductee as the father and an alien female as his mother. But Vexok is fully alien, not half-alien. No blood connection to the human. So it's like Vexok was adopted.

Little Vexok, my alien toddler, was actually the 5th child my couple had. They raised a daughter and her Imaginary Friend to YA, then had two twin girls who are currently away at boarding school.
This is his human dad, Tilus.
And this is his step-mother Santha who is helping to raise him.
Vexok's family tree:
It's always interesting for me to see what kind of sims I made when I first started playing the game. The Engles were my second major family in Sims 3. They live in Moonlight Falls. Here's how they look on my newer computer.

This is a pic of the YA alien I played in Lunar Lakes. I edited his name, but not his looks. I called him Calypo. It was fun to see what all he could do. I had him call down a meteor once.
And this is Qedef in Twinbrooks. He visited the home lot and got to know my Insane elder sim, Di L Emma Riddler. She invited him on a date, and he showed up like this! Qedef later moved in with her.
Here's Clyde pregnant with an alien.
I had wanted Bonnie to get pregnant, so when I saw Clyde's weight gain after the abduction, I immediately made that happen so there wouldn't be room in the household for an alien baby.
Clyde's alien baby had a Pollination Technician for a mother.
_____

Most recently, I took a bit of revenge on an alien who abducted and impregnated Charlie Stalker. (See story lines: It's ... Aliens!, Revenge: Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3) I found the alien's identity by checking an NRaas list.
The culprit was Cexavu.
_____

In Sims 2, humans who got pregnant from abductions gave birth to half-human/half-alien babies. They looked different than full aliens too. I once purposely got Don Lothario pregnant by an alien because I was so mad at his selfish actions towards women! ...Then I felt sorry for the child having Don as a father and created an alien female to join the household. Don liked that idea.

02-20. A Series of Randomness - Part 2

Cexavu does love working on his fixer-upper car. I also made sure he had a stereo, laptop, TV and bookcase too.
Charlie and the others are working on their own car now. Maybe I'll try a pattern on this one. Spiff it up a little!

Here's the family together watching the Cooking channel.
While I was tracking Cexavu through the park, I noticed a little girl had set up a baked goods stand.
I wanted to support her, so I sent Charlie to the park to purchase a treat.
I chose the highest priced item.

Later, I saw that Charlie had gone back to chat with the girl.
Then they played tag.
Just after dark, I noticed Josephine Scarlett's icon in Charlie's queue. I zoomed back to him immediately! They're Best Friends, but she's a Flirt with the Heartbreaker LTW.

Charlie was telling a funny story. I think Josephine was wearing her bartender outfit. It fits her personality!
Josey reverted to type and tried to flirt, but Charlie gently rebuffed her. Good boy, Charlie! I'm proud of you.
_____
I've been trying to raise the relationship between Hamish and Charlie. Mayra and Hamish are Best Friends now, but Charlie and Hamish are only Friends. I'd like to see that get to Good Friends, then I'll age Hamish up. Just a personal goal I've set for the infant stage. The relationship should rise faster when Hamish becomes a toddler.

Laddie found a Soulpeace gem worth §1728! I decided to keep it for now. Its magical powers might prove useful.
Laddie has started digging up space rocks! Just what my household needs--another excuse for an alien abduction! The money's good (§3,717), but the danger is real!

Laddie came in and woke Charlie up from a deep sleep. Mayra got out of bed and shooed Laddie out!

Eating times at home. I need to start using the meal-mod option again. Trouble is, they're rarely hungry at the same time. I may have to start adjusting their need bars so they can all sit down together.

Charlie had eaten the pie at the park and wasn't hungry, so I just had him sit down and drink a glass of nectar. At least he could be with the others.

Charlie brushing Laddie.

The gardeners hard at work. Lots of produce this time. These guys are worth every penny. I use the option for Gran to take the produce, instead of the gardeners putting it all in the fridge. Gran then sells what we don't need for her gardening career. She also does a little gardening herself now and then. A nice compromise.
The last time the gardener came, several of my plants went barren. Their life spans were over. The whole time the Grumpy gardener was screaming at finding a dead plant. I heard his angry shouts throughout the house!
Charlie went down to talk to him.

Charlie: Take it easy, fellow. We'll plant new seeds. Your job is secure!
Even though Cexavu was a permanent zombie, if he ever did bite another sim (doesn't happen too often), the afflicted sim would still only have the temporary zombie moodlet. But I don't think Cexavu can interact with other sims normally while in the zombie state, so I didn't want to leave him like that for long.

Gran making fun of Cexavu.

Another pic of Cexavu clutching at his head.
I've noticed that sims without cars start taking taxis--except they drive themselves! I saw Carie and Cexavu both do this, but the taxi doesn't go into their inventories. So, I wondered if there were no taxi drivers in this world. Also, I looked around the town in map view. The place is swarming with yellow taxis! I rarely saw another type of car. What is up with that?
