The Monte Vista household is another family that came from other worlds before making a home together in their current neighborhood. Angel Engle was the Imaginary Friend of Beth Engle from Moonlight Falls. Beth and Angel grew up and moved away to the CC world of Riverblossom Hills.
In RH, Beth met Hank and those two moved again (to Aurora Skies). Angel found a genie bottle, made two wishes, then freed the genie. That genie's name is Brandon Heath. He and Angel fell in love. Angel soon became pregnant and the two married. They moved (house and all) to Monte Vista where the sun is golden.
Baby Carlson is also a genie with an interesting array of traits. He has his mother's skin tone, so looks human though. Teyla the plumbot also started out in Moonlight Falls as a nanny. Now she cares for little Carlson.
Carlson has aged up to Toddler now. He has an Imaginary Friend called Dalmo.
Not long after Carlson was born, I gave his dad Brandon natural toned skin as well; though it's a darker shade. Of course, Brandon spends a lot of time in the sun since he's a lifeguard.
