01-05. New Family Members and New Adventures

The morning after Marion arrived, I told her to make waffles. But I soon found out that she had run off in the middle of cooking, leaving the pan on the stove. A fire started! What was she thinking!
Luckily Rexel was already headed down to the kitchen and put the fire out right away. A townie firefighter showed up afterwards, but with two Brave sims in the house, those services were not needed.
I sent Marion down to the Admin Center to register as a Self-Employed Photographer. I'm hoping to get some good Sim-taken adventure photos. And yes, Marion swam some of the way over to the Admin Center, so she's still wearing her swimsuit.
There was a violin in Marion's inventory when she arrived, and she loves playing it.
I decided to adopt 2 horses. Both were untrained and free to adopt. That was nice. This is Lustre Drake, adult male.
Lustre will be Rexel's horse.
And here is Carma St Claire, adult female.
Carma will be Marion's horse.
Neither Marion or Rexel has any Riding skills yet. And it shows!
How humiliating!
A late evening at the Island Fishing Pond.
Getting to know each other.
Sharing a bale of hay.
Rexel received two Paranormal Investigation jobs at the only two rabbit hole venues on the island! I need to add some residents so he can work on home invasions too.
His first investigation was a cinch!
And so was his next gig.
The following morning, the two greeted each other with a few kisses and sweet talk. They still have separate bedrooms right now. No need to rush things. (They might disagree with that idea!)
Since Rexel and Marion are going to be my World Travelers, I sent them on to Shang Simla. I left the horses at home this time, but I'm thinking of bringing them along (with the help of NRaas) when the couple can stay longer at their destinations.
I bought Marion her own Kenspa before they left home. Hers is dark Irish green (her color). I also recolored Rexel's Kenspa black, which is his favorite color.
They were just beginning their first tomb adventure when I closed the game. Rexel is always staring at Marion. It's that Irresistible trait!

01-04. Marion St Claire

Rexel had a nice surprise when he arrived back home from France. A Lady sim made personally for him by CravenLestat had joined his household!

Marion St Claire is an Aquarius. Her traits are Brave, Shy, Great Kisser, Irresistible, and Proper. What's not to love?
Her Lifetime Wish had been Firefighter Super Hero, but since there was no opportunity for that career on this small island, I changed it to match up with Rexel's Great Explorer LW. I gave Marion the Wish of Seasoned Traveler. Now their dreams and lifestyles truly dovetail.

Marion woke up the next morning, and I had her practice her Charisma skill before she met Rexel. He was brushing up on his Charisma as well.
After they both completed their morning exercises, the two got to know each other. Rexel taught her the two French songs he'd learned while in Champs Les Sims.
Marion was Shy at first, but her Irresistible trait came to her rescue. Rexel was besotted!
They share the Brave trait and have compatible Zodiac signs. And really, Marion was just too alluring! Rexel was obsessed. He even had the moodlet to prove it!
Then Marion confessed her own attraction to Rexel. They became Romantic Interests at once. I actually had to slow the love momentum down. Things were going too fast! So, how about a nice Slow Dance to gentle music?
A caress.
And an embrace.
A Shy first kiss.
And a real kiss at last!

01-03. Champs Les Sims: First Visit

When Rexel arrived in France, he checked out the adventure board and found a request to locate a missing "treasure" for a local. The item had been lost at a Celtic burial mound. Rexel bought a few supplies, including a Kenspa, and rode out to the standing stones site.
Seeing Rexel with a pickax in his hand brought back memories from mining ore in Skyrim.
Rexel was thinking about ghost hunting as he climbed down into the tomb. Was he remembering fighting the undead in Skyrim? Or did he sense a ghost nearby?
Every once in a while, Rexel would stop and do his Disciplined pose. He looked like he was guarding the passages into the crypt. "None shall pass!"
Sticking his hand into hidden cavities in walls and floors never bothered him. He never squealed or cringed once. If bugs latched onto him, he just calmly brushed them off.
This tomb had an amazing hedge maze with hidden nooks and treasure caches!
By the time he'd looted several treasure troves, it was night, and he still hadn't found that missing item for the local who'd hired him. There would be more to explore the next day.
After much pushing, shoving, digging and investigating, Rexel finally made it into the last tomb chamber and found the missing treasure he had been sent to recover. It was time to report in.
But before he left the standing stones mound, Rexel checked out the area above ground. By chance, I happened to discover an option on the two gravestones outside that I'd never seen before. The selection instructed Rexel to "Appease ghost." Well, why not? After choosing the option, Rexel bent down and started talking to the dead sim buried inside the "Remains" grave.
Then a small hazy spirit appeared. I realized this must be an ability connected to Rexel's Ghost Hunting career. I've only had one other Ghost Hunter sim before Rexel, and I'd never tried this with her. Something new for me!
Rexel continued to talk with the spirit for a few minutes more. Then the ghost hovered close to Rexel as if  to hug him. Moments later, it vanished back into the ground. A fun discovery for me!
There were a couple of excavation sites at the mound, and he dug up several valuable items before leaving.
Rexel returned the lost item to the quest giver, earned his reward, and later spent time at the town center market place. He sold off any relics he didn't want to keep and made lots of simoleons. This had been a lucrative trip! Rexel also learned the two French songs the locals sing.
To celebrate, Rexel visited the nectary and sampled various nectar blends. He bought another bottle to take home.
Rexel also introduced himself to more of the locals, enjoying the French custom of hugging and kissing cheeks.
Back at Base Camp, Rexel earned another Logic point by playing a game of chess with a fellow tourist. He took a quick nap and then was ready to travel back home.

01-02. Rexel Day One

Here are some screenshots of Rexel's first activities on the island. For the most part, he was working on basic skills, Athletics and Cooking mainly. But there were a few other things he did too.

His first activity choice was to play Roulette. He lost money, then gained most of it back. Then he lost again. With all those ups and downs, Rexel earned a point in Gambling.
I used BuyDebug to set out death flower plants. All my sims carry death flowers. I gave Rexel two flowers in case he gets a roommate or a horse.
He also got a soccer ball. My Athletic sims love carrying around sport equipment!
After gaining his first skill point in Athletics, Rexel wanted to go jogging.
The first time Rexel tried diving, he performed expert acrobatic stunts. I was amazed!
While he was at the pool, a random maid showed up. She was the only other sim on this deserted island besides Rexel. After they danced for a while, she then just ran off and disappeared. I think I have service and role sims turned off for this world (using NRaas), so she wasn't even supposed to be there.
After the one maid left, another one popped in. Rexel played soccer with her. Then she too disappeared. Both maids were Kleptomaniacs and generally were lousy partner material for Rexel. So long, girls!
Because Rexel had lost money gambling, I made him collect flowers and gems to earn money.
Afterwards, he was able to use the Science Lab rabbit hole rug to join the Ghost Hunting career, which he wanted to do. Nobody else lives on the island right now, so I'm not sure how this career is going to work out for him. He may never get any investigation calls until I place more residents in the world.
Rexel got hungry and used the Guild Hall wood-burning oven to bake lasagna.
And he finished the evening by practicing hoops by himself.
In the morning,  Rexel made waffles and managed not to burn them! Nice quality even. Another surprise.
After breakfast, I sent Rexel off into a vacation sub-world for better adventures. He had a personal wish to visit Champs Les Sims in France, so that's where he traveled. Rexel not only wanted to work on his Lifetime Wish, but he also needed to spend time with other sims. Maybe he would meet a nice lady friend.
