01-29. Transitioning Back to the Travelers

Emily has made good progress in Alchemy and in her career.

Idora is gaining in Fairy power and is also rising in her own career. I changed her work outfit so she would look more like a gypsy fortune teller.

Gork: I see you, Idora. Hard to miss the green glow!

Gork: But you don't see me!

When she's not terrorizing other sims, Idora is dancing.

Too bad sims don't get Athletic credit for dancing. In real life, I'd be exhausted dancing for hours like this!

My time back with Rexel and Marion was low key. I'm planning to send them to Egypt soon. But first, Rex wanted to show Marion his Banshee Banisher. An impressive piece of equipment, Rex!

I sent the couple over to the library to hang out for a while. Rexel practiced dunking the basketball.

Marion wanted to play pool.

They spent time on the soccer field. Rexel is Athletic and had an advantage over Marion.

But she gave him a good workout.

And she even scored a couple of shots herself.

Pamela visited the library and I thought I'd see if Marion could get to know her better. I noticed that all of Marion's Friends were men and she was only Acquaintances with the women.

Marion was not nice to Pamela. Every time Pamela tried to be sociable, Marion shot her down.

She even insulted her! Their relationship had already fallen in the red zone. I tried to make Marion apologize, but Pamela walked away and I let her go. I'll need to train Marion on how to get along with other females!

Meanwhile, Rexel challenged Torin to a dunking contest.

The guys were evenly matched.

The day at the library center ended with an outdoor meal.

Back home, Rexel and Marion steamed up the shower together.

I also made Marion another formal outfit. She has the Proper trait and constantly changes into her formal wear. I wanted a second set of clothes so I wouldn't see her in the same thing all the time.

01-28. A Darker Romance

Right before I left the Dark Fantasy household to switch back with Rexel and Marion, I added another twist to the Dark Fantasy story.

After a little conversation, hearts came up for Emily and Gort.

They watched the stars together, but Emily seemed preoccupied. 

Emily: Gort, I have to talk to you. I like you ... a lot ... but I've always wanted to be with someone with special abilities like me. Someone with Supernatural powers. You're different, Gort, but not in the way I need.

Gort: Emily, tell me what I can do! I can change! For you, I'll do anything!

Emily: Well, Gort. I've always wanted to be with a certain type of man. And ... and I have this elixir that I've kept with me for a long time now. It will turn you into the kind of man I need by my side!

Gort: Good! That's great, Emily. I'll take your magic elixir! I'm ready. ... Let's do it!

Emily reached into a hidden compartment by her bed and drew out a glowing bottle. Taking a deep breath, she threw the mysterious elixir at Gort's feet.

She said a few magic words, and Gort suddenly felt on fire! His whole body and soul were being transformed. 

Emily hadn't realized how frightening the whole process was going to be. She feared for Gort. And for herself! 

She collapsed to the terrifying sound of Gort howling over her.

Gort leaped out into the night. He felt wild and out of control.

He needed to run. To hunt. To howl at the moon!

Gradually Gort came to his senses and was able to think more clearly. He realized that he was not just a beast, but was both Wolf and Orc.

As Gort grew more aware of his former self, he discovered he could transform back into the Orc. And though he still felt the beast inside, he knew he could learn to tame the Wolf. ... So, Gort returned to Emily.

Emily: Gort! Are you all right? You were gone so long ... and you're back to normal. But you look different. Your hair!

Gort: On the outside, just my hair's changed. I'm shaggier. ... On the inside, I'm not sure what I am!

Emily: What have I done? I'm so sorry, Gort. I should never have asked this of you!

Gort: Everything will be ok. I asked for this. I wanted it. I've never been acceptable to others. Maybe this was fate. Maybe this is who I was meant to be all along!

Emily: I'll help you, Gort! Together we can harness the powers and learn what it means to be Supernatural! 

Together, as Witch and Werewolf, they would face the world and meet the challenge!

But first, Gort faced his brother Gork. Gort had always been the sentimental, soft twin, but Gork would see a new side to Gort from now on.

And there was one other man on the Island Gort needed to talk to. Torin the Werewolf. He could teach Gort what he needed to know about the Wolf! 

01-27. Dark Fantasy: Dreams Come True

After Pamela's party, I sent the family to the Arcane Guild. It was close by and the night was young. There was still time to harvest Alchemy ingredients and work on skills.

Emily began harvesting items outside.

While Gork helped out by picking ingredients indoors.

Gort found the drafting table on his own, and Idora wanted to increase her Logic skill by practicing chess.

Idora loves to dance. She actually looks quite happy when she dances.

Well, she's also happy when she tortures unwitting victims! This time her Chattering Teeth trick worked. Poor Gort!

The next morning, Gork made pancakes. Cooking is a must skill. I always try to level that up a couple of points right away. Otherwise, the chances of fires increase.

I let Gork do some fishing. He works outside the home in his Criminal career, so he deserves some downtime.

Emily was up practicing magic straight out of bed.

Time to get started on her Alchemy career. She made several Elixirs of Bliss and sold them.

Being a Supernatural Fan, Emily was thrilled to visit with Torin at the Guild. She tried flirting with him, but he told her he was already in a committed relationship. Torin and Jillie have never been tempted to flirt outside their vows.

Gort spray-painted a couple of small murals in the Guild.

There aren't any police officers on the Island that I've seen, but Gort still got caught defacing property. He had a Watched moodlet for awhile.

Back home, Idora received her wish for a fairy house. She also wanted to drink pollen punch inside, so she was granted that as well.

Maybe Idora was a little punch-happy because she immediately came after Gork again with another complaint.

This time she was really ticked off!

Ah well, so much for my hopes of these two making a match. I left them on their own here and checked on Gort and Emily at the Guild. ... But then ...

I saw in Idora's queue that she was Being Smooched! I zoomed back home.

Sure enough, Gork and she were suddenly Romantic Interests!

Gork was moving quickly, acting on the Heat of the Moment.

So I decided to seize the moment as well! I had Gork ask Idora to Go Steady. And she agreed.

Then I changed Gork out of his pajama tunic, and had him pop the big question.

Now Idora and Gork are Engaged!

These two were made for each other.

They consummated their commitment with steam and hearts.

And Gork got to sleep in the master bedroom, side-by-side with Idora.

What about Gort and Emily? They'd been busy too, but not with romance. Emily wanted to learn the Social Networking skill, so she texted several acquaintances. I looked at Gort's phone, and yes, he had broken it when he'd dropped it at the cemetery. I paid §150 for repairs. He then sent his own friendly texts.

Gort and Emily read texts from each other at the same time, standing face to face! Will these two become a couple, or is Gort too Socially Awkward for that to happen? Only time will tell.
