01-06. Outtakes and Extras

A few screenshots of this and that ...

_____

Lost Cove has the most personable, friendliest raccoon I've ever run across. I love this little guy!

First of all, he has taken to sleeping at the Faraz house. He was there when Emad discovered one of his minions had sent a love letter to his wife.

Then he tried to attend a party given by Pablo Martinez! He managed to get inside the apartment building.  But he couldn't reach the call box.

The most awesome thing I've seen him do so far is play chase with the mailman. The two of them spent hours playing together.

Isn't he so cute! I'm going to see if he'll play chase with my sims too.

__________

My first sighting of Lost Cove's unicorn.

A lone boater by the falls. You can see the unicorn aurora in the background.

The sunken city with lights still glowing.

The collapsed bridge

__________

Emad woke up early one day and I had him practice with the acrobat ball. Next lot to add is a Live/Karaoke venue for entertainers.

__________

Horse transportation.

__________

Bebhinn decided to work instead of party. She drags that portable office out of her inventory all the time! Sometimes I wish I'd never given it to her, but she loves it so much.

Luna and Shade were at the horse ranch by themselves and Shade tried a higher jump. He was frightened and got a -50 negative moodlet! I had to send Bebhinn over to calm him down, poor baby.

The wild horses all crowded together in the small chicken park!

__________

The townies were having more fun at the diner hangout. The basketball court and the fixer-upper car are big hits.

Bebhinn climbed into the car (on her own) and revved the engine. She got a negative moodlet because the car was still in bad shape. And despite Emad's high Charisma skill, he just can't seem to get along very well with male sims. Just too Evil. He and Mikel have problems finding common ground.

Lynne, being a fairy, loves to dance and is always asking guys to dance with her. She's a Party Animal too. Emad and she are now friends. ...I noticed everyone was hungry, so Emad conjured up Apple Cobbler.

Then they all ran over to the party at Pablo's. Every night, there's a party. And with only 10 resident sims to attend, they're all getting to know each other pretty well. ...How does Archie manage to not step on Lynne's toes with those flippers he wears?  I need to take those off him!

__________

I caught sight of alien lights in the sky and found a lone alien walking through the woods. Since there's only one short road, I guess he couldn't use his spaceship.

But he was able to drive a speed boat though!

__________

And there's a suspicious looking van parked outside the minions' house. Someone is spying on the group! We don't know if it's undercover cops, military intelligence ... or aliens!

01-05. Consignment Venue and a Few Renovations

Most of what I'm doing in game fight now is adding a few venues to the world. It's taking longer than I thought it would. Always does. But I don't want to add too much. I want to keep it a semi-deserted world, so I'm almost finished with the building.

I placed a consignment store lot in Lost Cove. It also doubles as an elixir shop. I used a house I found on MTS as a starting building.

I also added Savvy Seller rugs and colored all but one of them the same pattern as the floor. The store ran a sale and you can see the little red tags where the rugs are located. The guy in the red hat is the waiter for the food replicator I added.

The small side building holds the bathroom and a hut for the alchemy station and gem cutting machine.

The back of the lot has bee hives and a hitching post for horses. There are also a few alchemy spawners on this lot--just a few!

My sims tested the lot. Emad has the most free time since Bebhinn's career is in Politics. This is the first time I've seen Emad in his level 7 career costume.

Browsing the seller rug displays.

Harvesting alchemy plants.

I bought a broom so Emad could test the broom riding arena. He did very well on his Joy Ride!

This pic is a little dark. I sent Emad out to work with the bees. When I checked on him, I found he was in his swimsuit and wasn't wearing the bee helmet! Then I remembered. He's a Daredevil. ... Daredevil = Crazy Fool.

_____

A few days later, Emad got hungry while tending the garden and just stopped and drank the honey in his inventory. Honestly, Emad, you could have waited a little longer! I wanted that honey. Now you have to do the bees again.

So after that, while waiting for the Dockery household to invite him inside, I made Emad get more honey to replace the one he drank. He wore his swimsuit again, but this time he got stung.

__________

I took out one of the harvest carts in the small park and added chickens.

__________

I added a small stage for guitars at the horse ranch. I might fancy it up later.

01-04. Medieval Home for Supernaturals

I spent time fixing up a medieval style home. I plan to add 3 women to Lost Cove. That will make 10 residents in all, 5 men and 5 women.

I found the cottage on MTS: Medieval Starter Hovel.

It also has a Medieval Starter Upgrade.

I used the smaller home. I didn't see the larger version until after I'd done my own upgrade. Instead, I added a basement for more room. I also renovated the old hovel to something a little more inviting.

1st floor. The staircase leads up to the shared bedroom and down to the basement.

1st floor from back.

2nd floor.

The outhouse. I also gave them an outdoor shower for when they garden. The ladder is a second way down to the basement.

Basement.

Basement from the other direction.

The location is a little isolated, but has a great view. Perfect for an adult lady witch and her two YA daughters.

__________

Then, I found out that the game had moved 3 sims into the medieval cottage I made for the household I had planned.  Darn! I should have marked the house Ownable instead of Regular until I could get the 3 ladies created.

The sims the game moved in are all high level singers. And they all have the hidden trait Can Apprehend Burglar. Strange combo.  There are two females and one human male. One woman is a fairy and the other is a mermaid. Stranger and stranger!

Now I'll have to evict them.  Maybe I can keep the girls and do makeovers--just evict the guy. Sorry, dude. Nothing personal.

__________

I checked on those three squatters again and found out the guy was a witch! The game had added a female fairy, a female mermaid, and a male witch to that medieval style cottage! Pretty awesome really. So, I thought WTH, I'll just go with it.

My original idea was to have an adult witch live there with her two YA daughters. Well, ok, so now I have a guy instead of a mother.  I decided to let the male witch stay with his two female roommates. But they all 3 needed makeovers: looks, clothes, a few traits, and lifetime wishes. I also aged them down from adults to YAs. I tried not to obsess over their looks--did several touch-ups here and there. But their outfits needed a complete overhaul!

BEFORE

Mikel dancing with Lynne (witch and fairy)

Natalia looking pitiful (mermaid)

Looking pleased with himself! He's a necromancer with a lifetime wish of Zombie Master.

Lynne the Fairy

I changed the color of her wings to match her blue eyes, which were the original color. LTW of Magic Makeover.

Natalia the Mermaid

I also changed the color scheme of her scales to match her aqua-green eyes. LTW of Golden Tongue, Golden Fingers.
