03-14. Building and Decorating
After 5 CTDs, I finally got to a place I could call "finished" with the new house furnishings. I didn't even attempt to add anything to the yard. That can wait until the snow storm is over. I sent the couples to check things out and gave them free rein for the most part. The lot is still designated public until I move my sims in. I'll share some overview screenshots right now.
I expanded the bottom floor, but just on the right side. I'll do something on the left later.
The back deck has a few children's items on it. I'll be adding a treehouse and sandbox to the yard too.
The ground floor. Open space with a few half-wall dividers.
I still have to put the regular stove in. It'll go beside the oriental grill.
The den and bath are separate rooms from the living, dining, and spa areas.
Here's an overview of the second floor, which contains two main bedrooms, a small nursery and a play room. Doors lead out to the decks.
The 3rd floor has another large bedroom and a dorm bedroom.
The lighthouse ground floor. The boys fought over who would use the whiteboard first.
Grizelda came over to paint.
A small gym on the second floor of the lighthouse.
I told Sophia to climb the pole. I wanted to make sure it worked. Trevor and Amika came over by themselves.
The 3rd floor has a small reading area, magic cauldron, and a telescope.
Chris loved the cauldron. He found it on his own and used it 3 or 4 times.
The control room doesn't have anything for sims to use right now. I may change that later.
____
Meanwhile, back at the castle. I also made a small basement under the separate bedroom building. I put in a huge TV and created a theater-style room, complete with popcorn. The guys only had a small TV in this house, so I rewarded them.
I found Dromio trying out the video game console.
Upstairs, Beowulf was making himself at home on Jeremy's bed.

03-13. Winter Scenes
The reason I usually don't start building things from scratch is that I take forever to complete them! I keep changing my mind about the designs and revamping everything. I've only managed to furnish 3 rooms so far in the Lighthouse Chapel home. But I've spent hours redoing the structure of the house.
Before. I liked the Now and Then Manor tower, but the 3rd story roof was wasted space.
After. I created an indoor 3rd floor and added a small roof on top with decor pieces instead of using the tower.
Here is a picture of the back taken in Live mode with all the snow just before dusk.
____
Meanwhile, at the castle, everyone is pretty much waiting for me to finish the new house. Life is paused for the most part. But they're also freezing their buns off. Talk about a cold shower!
_____
I just wanted to share a couple of winter pictures I took when I got out of Edit Town. I can't believe this blizzard!
A rainbow during the snow storm. Pretty.
Can you see little Bradley and Daryl in the bottom right corner? They're visiting the Old Tome Library.
The birds are heading south. A little late for that! I hope they make it.
_____
Random thought bubbles.
I don't know if you can see this on smaller screens, but Amika had just thought about jogging, then about needing to pee. Her thoughts look like she's thinking of jogging to the toilet. A bathroom emergency!
After coming back into live mode, I caught Chris cheering over this speech bubble. :o I know he's Excitable, but why is he thinking of babies? No one is pregnant. Did he know I was adding cribs to the other house? Now that his girlfriend Sophia is alive, I guess he's looking to the future.
_____
Random snow pics.
Bradley and Daryl exploring a snowy Mysterious Island. At least they're wearing warm clothes.
Sophia and Grizelda chatting during the snow storm--outside without winter clothing on!
Grizelda was the first to make a snowman.
_____
Beowulf in the snow.
Beowulf tracking through the snow, looking for the best place to do his duty--like the Neat little doggie he is.
Down the stairs and next to the trash can smells like the perfect place to pee!

03-12. Skating and the Final Resurrections
I noticed that the small pond was frozen over. Charlotte had a wish to ice skate with her boyfriend Jeremy, so I let them try it out. It's not a very big pond, but there's room for two skaters.
Full moon. The wild horses and unicorn were all at the fishing pond too.
Learning to skate.
Spinning together.
_____
The last two castle ghosts were resurrected today. So that leaves only the 3 at the other house left to do.
Grizelda (Trevor's girl) and Sophia (Chris' girl) both appeared during the full moon. Trevor had two dishes of Ambrosia ready for them.
Sophia found the Ambrosia first. Chris stood close by.
The transforming lights.
Renewed! Chris was standing a little too close!
Time for embraces.
And more.
_____
Grizelda soon discovered her Ambrosia and was quickened while Trevor watched.
A redhead! She actually looks alive!
And she's very grateful.
She's even wearing her knight's color!
Trevor deserves a reward for all the cooking he's been doing!
