01-19. Leisure Day Party

I decided to let Emad and Bebhinn give a Leisure Day party. They hadn't invited anyone over yet, so now that a few more residents had moved in, the time was right.

They both had wanted to throw a pool party, but all the others did that. I was tired of seeing everyone running around in swimsuits. We held a formal party instead--same as a pool party just with fancier clothes.

Emad summoned Baked Angel Food Cake, but a few others brought food. Natalia treated the guests with Spheres of Destiny, which I'd never seen before.
Bebhinn and Emad wouldn't stop smooching long enough to greet people, so I had to make them. Not sure which one is worse about the kissing. Bebhinn is possessive, and Emad just likes to fool around.
This is how Emad chose to greet Lynne, by scaring her. I guess it's better than flirting. Maybe. And why does he always have money on the brain? Is he considering future Gold Digger possibilities? He is such a gigolo!
Tyron showed up in a kilt, which I thought was kind of cute with his red hair. I color-coordinated the shirt and vest he had on and then gave him a matching tam.
These guys fell into food comas. All those sweet desserts.
Bebhinn's boss, Ralph Burns, came to the party dressed like THIS. I couldn't take it!
A quick trip into NRaas Stylist saved my eyesight.
Archie thought he looked dashing. I didn't disabuse him of the idea. The star on the belt buckle was quite fetching. And those feathers on his jacket were very ... Avant Garde?
Emad entertained the guests, but Mikel turned his back on the crowd. He had come late to the party and didn't stay long. Too many people for a Loner.
Caren enjoyed herself, but still hadn't met everyone.
Pablo Martinez, Jennifer's husband, sought Caren out and tried flirting with her. He's like his wife--Flirty.
When Emad decided to go upstairs to dance, several guests headed to the stairs at the same time, which caused the usual sim traffic jam.
Sherry told Ralph how excited she was to be a witch. I guess her broom riding skills had increased. Ralph was happy for her. Or maybe he was just happy WITH her!
Upstairs, all kinds of dancing was going on. Tyron was on the computer though, and George was wondering who was skilled enough to play chess with him. Nobody George. Sorry.
I forgot to take the honey out of Emad's inventory again, so when he got hungry, he drank it instead of getting food from the kitchen. The man loves his honey!

I think Bebhinn gets a little exasperated with Emad's boorish ways, but she's resigned. He has other admirable qualities she enjoys.
By the end of the evening, everyone said they'd a great time. The party was amazing!

01-18. The Doctor and The Candy Striper

There were no doctors serving in the Lost Cove Dispensary, so I went looking for potential townie makeovers. By chance, I saw these two fairly decent looking sims together at the bookstore and hobby shop.

The guy was the hobby clerk, Jorge Dennison. He was actually a jock, not a nerd.
The girl was a dancer named Candy Bar. What she was doing at the bookstore, I have no idea.
Well, both these two were about to get the biggest breaks of their lives. New identities and new callings! Jorge would become George Robinson, 5th level Resident Doctor in the medical field. And Candy would become Caren Bond, a part time medical Candy Striper (NRaas careers).

This is their new townhouse. I found it at MTS, Kenway Street Mini Lot. I did some renovating and placed the house next to the Dispensary Hospital. The Doctor is In!
A small back yard.
Upstairs bedroom and bath.
First floor living and dining.
Basement relaxation room.
View of the hospital next door and the ocean beyond.
I used NRaas to make George and Caren boyfriend and girlfriend. And their first interactions were romantic. Although I must say, their flirting wasn't exactly heated.

Caren: I love our new home!
George: Yah, the chair looks brand new.
George: I know I'm Unflirty and we've never talked before, but ... shall we?
Caren: Hmm, very nice, George. You're not geeky at all!
The couple's makeover included pudding-removal and trait changes. I also gave them the same zodiac sign so they'd be compatible. They're both Leo.

Caren is a young adult. She's Friendly, Childish, Never Nude, and has a Good Sense of Humor. She's also a Diva. Her lifetime wish is to be Super Popular. ... Ok, so she's a little ditsy. What do you expect from someone who used to call herself Candy Bar?
George is an adult. He's Unflirty and Clumsy. He's also a Genius and a Snob, but like Caren, he does have a Good Sense of Humor. How else could he get along with her? His lifetime wish is to live in the Lap of Luxury.
Emad and Bebhinn visited the new arrivals, but Jennifer Martinez was already there welcoming the couple. A big Flirt herself, Jennifer was immediately caught flirting with the Doc, so she retreated to the couch.

Caren: What do you do for fun around here?
Emad: We have a pool and ...

Bebhinn: So you used to sell comic books?
George: That's how I was putting myself through medical school.
Bebhinn didn't appreciate George's political views.
Then Emad wanted to discuss his mastermind plot for Lost Cove. George couldn't have cared less!
When he found out Emad was an entertainer, well, Clumsy and Natural Born Performers just don't get along.
George: I suddenly found myself with a high paying career, a new house, and a girlfriend!
Emad: Things like that happen in Lost Cove all the time. I'm beginning to wonder about this place.

Jennifer: I bet if I treat George just right, he'll give me a discount on my medications. What do you think?
Bebhinn: I think you better stay away from other women's men, that's what I think!
Unfortunately, Jennifer didn't take Bebhinn's advice. The next thing I knew, she had flirted with Emad. And eagle-eye Bebhinn saw it. She blamed Emad, of course. He must have encouraged the tramp!
Bebhinn really is the jealous type, and now she was mad at Emad again. I made him apologize.

Emad: Bebby! I didn't say a word to Jennifer, I swear!
Bebhinn: All right, Emad, but I want to go home now. I've had enough.
__________

And this is the new hobby shop clerk who took George's place. He will be keeping his current job. It suits him.

01-17. The New Minion

Archie and Tyron were secretly delighted with the mysterious death of Antwon May. He'd been getting more and more obnoxious. And weird. They were not surprised when he just took off one night on his jet ski. He must have been searching for treasure on those deserted islands.

Following the new guidelines of the Farazian Society, Tyron lost no time in recruiting a new sim to their cause, a young woman named Sherry Malone. She had real potential as a minion. Tryon thought Faraz would be pleased.
Sherry had a Wonder Woman thing going for her ... in a colorful sort of way. Her traits were Disciplined, Handy, Neat, Social Butterfly, and Dog Person. She was a part time military ROTC candidate. Sherry was also practical with finances, a Capricorn.

She wasn't bad to look at either. What a great roommate! A vast improvement over foul-tempered Antwon May.
Tyron chatted her up before Archie had a chance to get to know her.
He was surprised to find out that Sherry was a witch. Another plus! (The game made Sherry a witch after I added her to the minion household and I left it that way.)
Sherry had been one of the homeless townies without any traits, skills, or job. I worked with her and brought her to life. Sherry enjoys telling everyone she's a witch. She likes that part!
__________

So Sherry settled in with Tyron, Archie and Pudge Little Dog.
Pudge was happy to have a Dog Person to help take care of him.
But he lost no time in trying to get Sherry's attention. He began to act out. He begged for table scraps.
He did his duty outside, of course, but then played in his own piddle.
He tore up furniture instead of chewing on his toy bone.
Finally Pudge got the attention he craved. Sherry took him to the park.
Once there, Pudge responded to Sherry's Disciplined trait. He chewed on the plastic bone for all he was worth!
But then he found that nice, stinky horse pee and his Piggy trait kicked in. Oh well, Sherry still loved him. Maybe she'd give him a bath.
__________

Tyron and Archie got new outfits for the Farazian Society, something that said Free Thinking Bohemians. Something more in line with their motto: We Have What You Want!

I tweaked their faces a touch so they wouldn't look so much alike. Tyron got a little dreamy-eyed to show his Over-Emotional trait.
Archie sparked up a bit to mark his Dramatic trait.
But things heated up between the two Farazian males. Archie was not happy with Tyron for monopolizing Sherry's time. He told Tyron to back off! (Notice the shredded newspaper. Pudge had been at it again.)

Archie: And stop telling her I'm a flake! Just because I appreciate radical art doesn't mean I'm a loser! You're the one always wasting time on the computer!
Tyron: Ha! Show's what you know! Sherry likes video games. I'm going to teach her new tricks.
Tyron: Hey, Sher! Have you beaten level 10 yet?
Sherry: Yes! Thanks for the tip on that Ghoul Boss, Ty!
Well, Archie wasn't going down without a fight. He'd find a way to get closer to Sherry. A fun outing of some kind. She loved to be out and about. Archie could handle that.
He got his chance after a get-together at the Farazes. Still dressed in party garb, Archie invited Sherry to go with him alone to the park. They danced!
Archie had found new motivation for the Farazian Society. No one would accuse him of slacking off again. Sherry would teach him discipline!
