01-16. Castle Outtakes

That's a half-wall section with a ladder hidden behind it. I left the space to the right open for access to the ladder. (Sims need a space on either side to use ladders.) The ladder works perfectly, but I had another incidence of a sim getting stuck behind that plant. I think they went through the half-wall when stepping off the ladder instead of going right. How they managed that, I don't know. But sims will climb into bunk beds through a wall so the scripting must be imperfect. I'll probably have to rearrange that area if I see another stuck sim.

Last night, I decided to move the bunk beds down to the room where the stairs are and put the double bed on the top floor. It will help with traffic flow and will also give the room with the double bed more privacy.

You can see how I divided the back stairs from the bathroom. It was a little tricky to do because of the diagonal rooms. I added an all-in-one by the stairs too. And I also placed an outdoor shower behind the castle (bottom left).


The master bedroom is upstairs now.


The rooms still have a dark castle look to them, but I'm thinking of adding a little more color to the walls.
