01-01. Inspired by Skyrim

While reading through some Sims 3 forums posts, I got the idea to make a sim based on my Skyrim game hero Rexel Drake. I've played Rexel for over 500 hours, both in the Skyrim Legendary Edition and in the enhanced Special Edition. He's completed most of the major quests in the main game and in the expansions.

I had wanted a warrior build and chose the Redguard race. But I also wanted the character to be neutral and well-rounded, not locked into a narrow path. So Rexel has been influenced by a varied history and is very much his own man. He makes decisions according to the dictates of his own conscience, not national creeds or racial bias.

Backstory

Rexel's backstory is that he was born to a Redguard mother. His father was an Imperial soldier she had met in Hammerfell and soon married. As it turned out, Rexel was born in Skyrim while his father was stationed there. His later Dragonborn calling was linked to the time and circumstance of that birth. When Rexel was two years old, his parents moved on to other locations in Tamriel and never returned to Skyrim.

Redguards are talented warriors and often mystic seers. They are also free-minded individuals. Having grown up in a family of mixed heritage and moving from one Imperial post to another, Rexel wanted to continue exploring other cultures and traditions. He traveled the world, but unlike his military father, Rexel quested as a lone adventurer. Eventually, he decided to visit his birthplace...Skyrim.

When he first arrived in Syrim, Rexel heard rumors about a rebel leader named Ulfric Stormcloak. He was told that Ulfric had killed the Nordic king just by using his Voice, a magical power based on the language of ancient dragons. Something stirred deep within Rexel--not to join in Skyrim's civil disputes, but to learn more about this arcane Shout, this Thu'um. Little did Rexel know that he was being drawn to his own destiny as the Dragonborn.
