All is Lost
I had an issue in my game that I won't go into here, but I had to return to a save from a time before Rexel had met Marion. Their time in Shang Simla would have to be redone. The two had just finished part of the Dragon Cave adventure. Now they'd have to repeat everything they'd accomplished.
Shang Simla had finally spawned a Lapis Lazuli gem for Rexel, and he was going to report in too. Before heading home to base camp, Marion had blown Rex one last kiss.

A New Beginning
So Rexel went back in time and found himself alone in France once more. It was his last day. I retraced some of his activities mirroring the lost saves, but there was nothing important to do. The day was almost over. He played another chess game, this time with a different partner.
And he visited the Nectary again, even drinking his nectar sitting in the same chair and greeting the same merchant with a kiss on each cheek, French style.
Back at base camp, after showering and taking a short nap, it was time for Rexel to go home.

I reinstalled Marion into a clean save, and Rexel had to get to know her all over again! I once more went through the process of changing her Lifetime Wish, and then she rejoined the Photographer career. She also needed to work on building up some basic skills.
Rexel and she are Friends now, but have been flirting, so will soon be back to Romantic Interests. Once they settle into their home world, I'll need to send them to China once more.
I also had to adopt horses a second time, giving them the same traits and names as the first horses. I colored their coats so they looked like the ones I had before. Carma and Lustre were back.
