So there was an issue with the stereo and TV on the Barkers' lot. I had the same problem when the other family lived here. Sims cannot dance or work out using either item, doesn't matter which type or model. It isn't the usual issue with not enough space.
To make a long story short, it has something to do with the ground level of this lot. But I found out today that I can put the stereo and TV upstairs and everything is fine. Just one more crazy game glitch.
Anyway, while trying to find a solution to this, I ended up playing an extra day with the Barkers instead of moving on. But I'm ready to switch to Pamela and Vince the next time I play.

Meanwhile, I had to do some rearranging of rooms and furniture to put the TV and stereo upstairs. This room used to be a child's playroom on the 2nd floor. Now it's the TV room
Downstairs, I moved the desk and rocking chair out of the den into the area where the TV had been. Then the den became the new playroom.
I took out a couple of twin beds from this spare room and brought the stereo up to the 3rd floor. I also added a plant and moved and recolored a couch from another bedroom to here.
Keesh's bed used to be in the other room where the stereo is now. I moved it here and put the couch that was here in the stereo room.
Downstairs where the stereo had been, I rearranged some items and added a bar table with two stools matching the juice bar setup.

And while all this was going on, I found Torin standing beside an overturned trash can. Very suspicious!
Next, he went into the house and started scratching a planter. Bad dog!
He was ticking me off, so I had Jillie scold him with a newspaper.
Torin wasn't as submissive to the correction as the usual doggie. Uh oh!
Jillie tried some positive reinforcement by scratching Torin behind his ears ...
... and rubbing his belly.
He liked that! One thing led to another ...
... and they generated a few floating hearts.
I decided we'd seen enough of Torin's wild side for a while, so I had him transform back into a human.
Enough fun and games for now, Torin!
_____
Rexel swam over for a visit. I think he and Marion are jealous because I changed households. The first thing Rex does (again!) was flirt with Jillie by complimenting her.
She was not receptive, and things went a bit sour between them!
Jillie seems to be asking me, "Hey, you created this barbarian! What am I supposed to do with him?"
I told her, "Just be Friendly and he'll calm down." And so he did. They chatted and got to know each other better.
Then Torin wanted to try male bonding. Being a Daredevil, he thought eating dirt would do the trick. Hmm, not so much, no. But he and Rexel got along pretty well despite Torin's choice of diet!
While the guys bonded, Jillie finished her work out session and gained a skill point in Athletics. But she really needed to clean up.
Then Torin said goodbye to Rex, and it was bedtime. Tomorrow, you two will be on your own again. So sleep well.
