02-02. Laddie the Scottish Westie

I found some more information about the history of West Highland White Terriers.
The West Highland White Terrier shares a history with that of the Dandie Dinmont, Skye, Scottish, and Cairn Terriers; they are all considered branches of the same breed. The West Highland White Terrier originated in Scotland and was used for hunting fox, badger, and otter and for killing vermin such as rats. There's not much evidence to determine the exact history of the West Highland White Terrier, but many believe that the breed can be traced back to the seventeenth century and a small breed of earth dogs that James I of Argyllshire gave to the king of France.
According to breed lore, the Westie's white color resulted from a tragic nineteenth-century accident that occurred while Colonel Malcolm of Poltalloch was hunting fox. The colonel accidentally shot and killed one of his wheaten-colored Cairns. Devastated, and determined to prevent such accidents in the future, he decided to breed only white dogs that couldn't be confused with foxes. The West Highland White Terrier has been known by many names, including the Poltalloch Terrier and the Roseneath Terrier, but he was officially recognized by the Kennel Club of England as the West Highland White Terrier in 1906. ~~ Read More Here

So I went into CAS and made a pet for Charlie. Since his family home was modeled after the real life manor where West Highland White Terriers were first bred, I tried my hand at making one of those. It was not easy! Limited sliders and options in Sims. But here's what I came up with.

I named him Laddie Stalker. He's an adult small dog, and his traits are Hunter, Neat, and Non-destructive. Later, I decided to give Laddie a Scottish plaid collar. I couldn't find a pattern in my game that worked very well with the narrow band, but I did come up with this design.
He wanted to chase the ball.

Charlie started teaching Laddie to hunt. Since Laddie has the Hunter trait, he paid close attention.
Laddie quickly learned the Hunting skill, and I sent him out to Sniff Out Collectibles. He gained 2 skills points!
He started digging in the open recreation area under the house. It's covered with wood, but that didn't stop Laddie! All he found on his first hunt, though, was an empty chip bag.
Charlie helped Laddie adjust to their new home. (See New Slope House.)

I also uploaded Laddie to the Exchange. I tested his sims3pack in Custard, so he should be safe to download.

Just for fun, I tried the new Windows 10 Photos 3-d effects.
