02-17. Revenge of the Clown: Phase 2

Granesa was concerned about Charlie's experience with the alien being. There had been enough problems in Mountain Lake. People claiming to have seen werewolves and vampires. Ghosts. And now UFOs. Someone had to put a stop to this madness!

Granesa headed to her wagon to search her incantations and recipes. She'd heard that the alien Cexavu had actually moved into the village. Granesa needed to disable the creature's power.
Her expertise was in Purges, but she could brew up a good Putrefactor if needed. She'd done it before. Sometimes you had to fight dirty!
With the potion bottled, Granesa arrived at the alien's home before he'd returned from his nightly abductions of villagers. She snuck inside and hid herself.
When the creature appeared she immediately tossed the elixir at him and watched with satisfaction as the putrefaction set in. The process took only seconds!
With the alien's powers squelched and his mental capacity stunted, he would not be a problem any longer. Cexavu was permanently zombified! Granesa knew that only one drive consumed him now. Plants!
Granesa stepped aside as the alien zombie approached. Anyone who couldn't outrun a zombie just wasn't paying attention! She turned away and walked towards the back door.
_____
But Granesa was wrong about one thing. Zombies wanted more than plants. They also craved brains! And they'd do anything to get them. Zombies fought an insatiable hunger for brains!
Plants might relieve the hunger, but only brains satisfied the zombie. Granesa had unsuspectingly made herself Cexavu's first victim. And he was just cunning enough to stop her escape.
As Granesa stepped around the junk car in the yard, she heard a growl behind her. Taken off guard, she jumped in surprise! It was the alien zombie, and he didn't look happy.
But Granesa had never been afraid of nightmares. She merely laughed in Cexavu's face.
That is, until the creature's growl became fiercer. He lunged while Granesa quickly dodged his attack!
But his violence ended abruptly. Suddenly, Cexavu clutched his head and cried in pain. It was as if he was being restrained by an invisible force. Did his agony have anything to do with the panel on the back of his head?
Granesa didn't stick around to find out. She left the zombie howling and angry.
_____
Later that day, the alien zombie, seeking nourishment, walked the streets of Mountain Lake. He was weak. Hungry.
But brains were not easy to come by. No one seemed threatened by Cexavu. They thought his menace was a joke.
Plants would have to do for now. But when his strength returned, then Cexavu would get those brains! He just wished he knew how.
Between his fear, his forgetfulness, bad luck and blunders, Cexavu wasn't up to his old standards. Good thing he still had his uniform. Cexavu wouldn't be caught dead streaking naked through the park!
