Charlie had dealt with Professor Plum, who was really Doctor Prune, the guy who'd experimented on Charlie during his treatments not so long ago. The authorities had found out what Prune had been doing to patients, and the doctor had quickly disappeared before he was captured.
But Charlie had discovered him here in Boddy Mansion. Prune was under the influence of his own truth serum now, thanks to Charlie, a heavy dose that would keep him unconscious for a while.
Charlie had also set up a streaming camera feed that linked back to his computer at home. The cam was hidden in his teddy bear Tattle and was placed to spy on John Green and his laptop in the den.
Charlie had explored secret passages within the walls of the mansion. One led to a shortcut to the back door and another one led further away from the house. Charlie didn't know which one he'd need to escape. It depended on what he found in the rooms upstairs.
Get a Clue: Part 6-Who to Trust
Josey looked so innocent asleep in her bed, so pretty. But Charlie had to make sure she wasn't trying to hurt him. He was tired of people hurting him. He was better now, but Charlie wasn't going to trust just anyone. Never again!
Charlie: Tittle, I'm going to search Josey's room. You need to guard the door.
Charlie didn't find anything suspicious, but he did discover a diary in Josey's bedside table. He read through some of the latest entries. It was all about love and flirting and girly stuff. Nothing about him. Charlie was a little disappointed that Josey hadn't written about him, but at least she wasn't out to trick him.
When Charlie tried to put the diary back, Josey woke up and almost screamed! But she quickly recognized Charlie. She gasped and jumped out of bed.
Josephine: What are you doing here? How did you get out of your room?
Charlie: Josey, something bad is happening here in this house! I don't think you're safe. No one is safe! ... Someone is here that shouldn't be. Maybe more than one person. I sense trouble, Josey. Big trouble.
Charlie: I don't know why you all are guests here, but this game you say you're playing. It's not good. You need to get away. Come with me now!
Josephine: Charlie, I think you're right. But I don't know who to trust anymore! We all came here because Boddy asked us to come back. Everyone was here at his last party. That's when he ... well, he died. But he told us an old gypsy in the woods cast a spell and gave him a potion. Now he's a ghost, but not quite. It's scary, Charlie!
Carie: I recognize that Professor fellow. He's really my old doctor, the one they tried to arrest for the drugs he was using on patients.
Charlie: Josey, I recognized Prune also. I left him unconscious downstairs dressed in my clown outfit. But someone's going to find him soon. We don't have any more time. We've got to leave.
Carie: You don't understand. I was in a mascot disguise both times I was here. Prune wouldn't have known who I was. Not him. I was killed by someone else, I'm sure of it. But everything is so foggy.
Michael's anger took over. He wrestled Peter to the floor. Michael might be retired now, but he still could take down an enemy if needed. And this fake Professor was definitely the enemy!
The others heard the commotion and came running--everyone except Charlie and Josephine, that is.

Charlie: I want to find out what's going on, but not while we're here. I don't like being trapped. Get dressed and let's check the other rooms up here.
Josephine: Turn around, Charlie. You're not watching me get dressed. That's just creepy!
Charlie: Uh, ok. I'll wait over there with Tittle.

As Charlie and Josephine quickly searched the upstairs, they ran into the ghost of Carie the Mascot. Neither had seen the ghost before, so they were shocked at her appearance. But Josephine knew who Carie was, what had happened to her.
Josephine: You're that mascot. I remember! You were at the first party too. Did Boddy ask you to come back here?
Carie: No, I came on my own. I'd heard that everyone was returning to the manor. I had to come. I wanted to find out about Boddy. But instead ... I was killed too!
Charlie: You're saying you don't remember anything about Boddy or your own death? You don't know anything about anyone else here?Carie: I recognize that Professor fellow. He's really my old doctor, the one they tried to arrest for the drugs he was using on patients.

Then in a blink, Carie disappeared, pulled back into her grave.

Meanwhile, Professor Plum (aka Doctor Prune) had been found and released from the locked room. He was humiliated to have been bested by Crazy Charlie. But he had other things to worry about. The clue that clown had left could have tipped someone off about his identity as the runaway doctor.
Peter hacked into John Green's laptop. Really, the man had no idea how to successfully encrypt his files! So, True Blue John had his own scam going! Well, well. This info could be Peter's ticket out of town.
But unknown to Peter, John himself had seen Peter enter the den. John realized that something needed to be done about the Professor. And soon!
All the while, Tattle Bear was recording and streaming everything happening in the manor's den.
John didn't have time to plan his next move though. Suddenly Colonel Mustard went storming into the den.
Michael: You old fraud! I've been watching you, and I know exactly who you are! You're not going to get away with this, you murderous ghoul! I have connections. The storm will be letting up soon, and I'm taking you in!
Michael: I don't trust you on your own for another second. I'm locking you back up! What have you done with that poor kid? He wasn't going to harm anyone! Where is he?
Peter: I didn't do anything to that nutcase! He's the one who hit me. Why would I have dressed up as a clown and drugged myself? You're as crazy as he is! I'm not the one you need to be locking up around here. There's ...Michael's anger took over. He wrestled Peter to the floor. Michael might be retired now, but he still could take down an enemy if needed. And this fake Professor was definitely the enemy!
