Get a Clue: Part 7-It Can't Be True
There was no time to lose. While the rest of the house were caught up in the fight between the Colonel and the Professor, Charlie led Josey back through the secret tunnels he'd discovered.
He thought about taking the older passageway into the woods, but quickly dismissed that idea. He needed to get Josey to safety as soon as possible. And he needed help. Things were much worse than he'd imagined.
Charlie and Josephine made it safely to the back door of the manor. But they could still hear the shouts of horror coming from inside the house. Something awful had just taken place.
And Charlie didn't want to be part of any of it!
Once again, the Grim Reaper rose within their midst. Everyone stood silent now, afraid to move or speak in the presence of Death himself!
Peter's body was transmuted into his ghostly form.
And the Reaper carried him off to the world of spirits.
But Grim lingered long enough to warn them all in his hollow, dark voice.
Death: This house is marked for Reaping. Make peace while you still can. I'll be back ... soon.
There was nothing left to do for Peter, except bury the man. They cried not so much for him, but for themselves. Peter might have been eluding the authorities, but how could they hope to keep two deaths a secret--especially with Josephine and Charlie missing. Were they also dead? Boddy felt uneasy. He watched the others closely.

Charlie: I was kidnapped, sir! Taken hostage by murderers! I barely escaped with my life. And Doctor Prune was there too! He tried to drug me again. But Tittle helped me escape ...
Gray: Charlie, take it easy now. Deep breaths. You know what your counselor told you. You need some quiet time for a while. I don't know what you've gotten yourself mixed up in, son, but ...
Joshephine: He's telling the truth! I know it sounds crazy, but he's not exaggerating one bit!
Gray: And who exactly are you, young lady?
Josephine: Josephine Scarlett. Let me explain what's been happening at Boddy Mansion, what I know, that is.
And between Charlie and Josephine, the Inspector finally began to put pieces of the story together.
Gray: All right, Charlie. You say you left a streaming video camera in the manor? So let's take a look at that feed.
