01-19. Charlie's Story and Some Construction Outtakes

A Little Background on Charlie Stalker

I didn't go into a lot of Charlie's past for the Clue Mystery, but I might reveal more if I play him further. My idea was that he came from a wealthy family, but his parents were killed in a tragic accident when he was a teen.

Charlie was also hurt, but survived, though severely traumatized. This is why he's been going to therapy and has regressed emotionally in some ways. Inspector Gray was a family friend and was named as Charlie's guardian.

There, of course, is a dark secret about these events. And Dr Prune (aka Professor Plum) didn't help matters when he took Charlie on as a patient. Charlie is a young adult now, but still can't remember much about the accident.

Charlie lives in the family chalet. Stalker Mansion in Mountain Lake also belongs to Charlie, but he's not ready to live there yet. The abandoned home has a sinister atmosphere that upsets him and triggers episodes.

Here are some screenshots of  the chalet.
This home was already in the world. I didn't make a lot of changes, just did a little redecorating.
The second floor.
And the attic room.
The back of the house as seen from the lake.
This is what the home looked like before I flattened the slope under the house to make a recreation area.
The remodeled open recreation area under the house.
A close-up view.
Later, I took out some of the red bougainvillea and recolored the fence pieces. I also put tiles on the back raised earth to make the place look more like a room rather than a cave!
An inaccessible basement where vehicles are stored for now.
This screenshot shows another empty sloped lot next to Charlie's place. They're the same size, 30x20.
I eventually built a new home on that lot and moved the household over there. (See New Slope House.)

When I decided that John Green would use a back route across the lake to get away, I thought I should build a simple beach. I wanted a mooring cleat or post so I wouldn't have to buy a trailer.

I came up with this small lot behind Boddy Mansion. It's designated a beach and is called Boddy Beach. These two screenshots are a little hazy because the Mountain Lake world often has fog surrounding the lake.
I wanted mostly level ground for sims to relax or dance on, so there's not a lot of slope to the shore. I made the pier wide enough for a small patio style table, and I put the mooring there. I added a fish spawner in the water too.
