01-13. Haunting Performance

The Ruins hosted a singer for the weekend's entertainment. It turned out to be Natalia Gale the mermaid. She's level seven and a true pro.

The attendance was poor though. With only a few residents in Lost Cove and travel across land as slow as it is, The Ruins hasn't been as successful as it could be.
But Natalia gave it her all. And the Farazes were there to cheer her on.
Well, Bebhinn cheered. Emad danced.
It had been a long time since Emad had performed, and he was ready to step up on stage again!
All in all, everyone enjoyed the show. Natalia deserved her applause.
__________

Emad took up the karaoke microphone and found a song to his liking.
He wasn't a singer, but showmanship was in his blood. He knew music and he knew entertainment.
He had the voice ... and the moves!
He had soul.
The proprietor heard Emad and was quick to compliment his performance.

Gregorio: We could use some talent here. Ever think about the stage?
Emad: I come from a family of performers, but I haven't been on stage in a long time. My main talent is in acrobatics though, not singing.
Gregorio: That's great! We have singers, but we currently don't have an acrobat. Let's see what you can do.

Emad gave a simple mime presentation for the proprietor.
Gregorio was impressed and arranged for Fabulous Faraz to perform the next evening.
Emad was excited about going on stage again!
__________

Then the full moon rose over the ruins and the party atmosphere quickly changed. Those still present at the club swore they saw a ghost praying--just like the legend said. Praying for lost souls!
The ghost was very real, and Death soon appeared to claim the wandering soul. Grim heard the ghost's pleas, but was not moved. He quickly dragged the spirit back to the Netherworld.

Grim: Do not try to escape from me again, foolish soul!
After Grim and the wraith disappeared, Emad just juggled fire. What did he care about those lost souls? Death was a thrill all right, but nothing new for an Evil Djinn.
Emad may not have been disturbed by Grim's presence, but the villagers were upset and hastened to say their own prayers. Never did they want to see Death again!
