01-10. Making It Happen

I forced a burglar to come to the lot to see what the peashooter would do. The burglar was determined to get inside. But everyone came running down when the alarm went off.

Unfortunately, before I could disrupt the burglary and have the peashooter go into action, Hank took matters into his own hands and initiated a fight. Then the police showed up with their usual story about how the thief got away.  I never could get the burglar to interact with the peashooter.

But then, 2-Rad got it into his head to chase down the burglar himself!

When the burglar got in his car and took off, 2-Rad was in hot pursuit!

He had to finish the last part of the chase on foot, following the burglar into a secluded, wilderness area. You can see the burglar entering an abandoned cabin at the top of the photo here.

2-Rad found Aurora Skies' criminal hideout! It was the first time I'd seen it. But 2-Rad made the wise decision not to go in. Another time 2-Rad...another time.

Meanwhile, being disappointed with my peashooter failure, I decided to see what the option Attack the Peashooter would do. Beth was my "volunteer." And what she volunteered for turned out to be becoming a zombie who gets hit with peas!

Beth never got a chance to attack the peashooter. The peashooter was too quick for her, which really seemed to make her mad!

It ended as do all my peashooter battles: with Beth being cured and falling asleep. But I got to see the moodlets the peashooter gives. Now, don't worry, Beth. I'll never make you eat brains again!

The first thing that morning, Hank got his computer out before I could send him off on his case. Nice try, buddy.

At my insistence, Hank again tried to dust for fingerprints at the house he'd broken into before. This time, the household was at home and he was invited in. But instead of Hank actually getting into the house, everyone ran outside to him, demanding his attention. Even the kitten Honey tried to get to him.

Hank didn't seem too thrilled with the jokes, the ghost story, or the rant.  And he never got to dust for prints either! I sent him home--again.

I remembered that Hank had wanted to work on his martial arts skills. He was only at level 2. So I did some slight upgrades at the local gym, which is really close to the house. I added two simfu dummy trainers and a couple of board breakers.

I also added chin up bars, dance bars, and a stereo.

The snack area got upgraded a little too.

I put rocking chairs in the baths. Not too visible here because I got distracted and took this pic instead. It looks like the guy doing chin-ups is watching the other guy take a shower. Trust me...there IS a wall between them!

Hank leveled up his martial arts skill to 4. Something to cheer about.

While Beth was at home completing her next best seller, I decided to have more fun with poor Hank. I sent him to the Gypsy Park. He was wondering what he was suppose to do there. Well let's see...

How about collecting some of those spiders? (They were all over the park.) Hank caught two of the beasties before the third one bit him. Ouch!

I then had him try a jelly bean. It gave him a warm feeling inside. A nice moodlet. (BTW, I use a mod that prevents jelly bean deaths.)

Now this decision was all Hank's. I was hoping to see a townie Eat Cake, but Hank got there first.

You should have stuck with the spiders, Hank! Yuck.
(And again, I use a mod that makes the cow plant always spit sims out--no deaths.)

All cleaned up now? ...One more stop before going home to Beth.

Around 10:00 pm, I sent Hank back once more to that house to dust for prints. He knocked on the door, but the lady wouldn't let him in. It was her bedtime. Well, too bad, lady! We need those fingerprints!  I made Hank knock on the door again and this time, she allowed him to come inside. So Hank finally got his prints!

Another semester ended that night, and both bots did super. Grades of A.
2-Rad needs 18 more semester hours to graduate.

Zipha graduated with a Science and Medicine degree! My first sim to graduate by taking classes. My other sims with degrees were either given degrees by the game (premades) or I gave them honorary degrees with lifetime points.

Zipha is also my first sim to graduate from a home world campus and my first plumbot to graduate. She also earned me a Scientific Sim achievement badge for having a sim receive a Science and Medicine degree. Yay, Zipha!! A true Plumbot Pioneer!!
