01-04. Spooky Day in Aurora Springs: Part 1

I went into Aurora Skies last night. I hadn't played that save since August of  2015. The household consists of a YA couple and two plumbots.

A Little Background
Beth Engle is a sim born in my Moonlight Falls world from a witch mother and human father. She has 3 other siblings--twin girls (one a witch) and her dad's alien son. She also grew up with an IF named Angel. She and Angel moved out together--to kiwi_tea's Riverblossom Hills world.

Beth invited Hank Barrett (a townie in Riverblossom Hills) to move in with them as a roommate. I tweaked Hank's name and traits a little, and he turned out to be a great guy. Hank was really attracted to Beth, so I went with that. The IF Angel found a genie lamp and set the genie free. She ran off to Monte Vista with him. They married and just had a baby. Beth and Hank ended up moving to Aurora Skies together when Angel left with her genie.

Spooky Day in Aurora Skies
Part 1 of 2

It was just before dawn in Aurora Skies. At the Gypsy park, I found a deer a little too close to a hungry cow plant.

And a community-minded sim (Astrid Vinter) was out working hard to rake leaves at the Carousel park...under the Aurora Borealis.

Beth woke up and headed downstairs for breakfast.

Hank soon joined her.

But the plumbots had been up for hours. Zipha was reading a textbook in the basement of the second family home. She and 2-Rad will live here once they graduate from University. Yes, the plumbots are enrolled in college.

Zipha is studying Science and Medicine, and 2-Rad is studying Technology. Both are doing A-level work. Here, 2-Rad practiced a presentation in Hank's Private Detective "office" in the basement. Hank wants to open an upscale office downtown as soon as the bots move out.

Beth is artistic and took advantage of the early-morning light to do some outdoor sketching. She's also a renowned author and has already achieved her Professional Author lifetime wish.

Hank wrapped up a case involving stalking and split personality illusions. He's a level 10 detective, but still needs several more cases to complete his Pervasive Private Eye lifetime wish.

The gnomes were enjoying the autumn day as well. Although one little guy seemed to be stuck in the ground. All the professor gnomes contemplated the best way to get him out.

Beth visited City Hall to pick up an award for her work as an author.

Today was a special day in Aurora Skies: Scary Day. Beth rode the carousel and invited Astrid to take a break from leaf raking and join her.

After completing his case, Hank also rode the carousel with 5 other sims who were in the park.

I thought this was darling! The puppy Brandon dog was running around the carousel, chasing after his master. He really wanted to get on that ride!

Beth helped clean up leaf piles while waiting for Hank's ride to end. Brandon Dog finally tried to jump on the carousel and froze my game! So, if you happen to see a puppy chasing a carousel, my advice is to distract him at once! I had to go to an earlier save because of this pup. Luckily, I saved just before it happened.

In the meantime, while the humans were having fun, the plumbots were attending Friday classes. I have a home world University lot installed in Aurora Skies using rabbit hole replacement rugs. So the plumbots go to school without having to leave town.

2-Rad had 2 exams and passed both with flying colors.

Zipha had three exams. She aced two of them, but bombed the one on Preaching the Meaning of Life. Oops! I guess her Charisma skill isn't too high. She'll have to work on that.

Maybe a little socialization will help Zipha relate to others.
