Winter Day Under a Full Moon
Part 2 of 2
Hank receives another reward today for his service to the community. The mayor herself honors him for continuing to solve cases even after he's already reached level 10 as a detective.
A crowd is there to celebrate with him. Beth and the two bots are on their way to the ceremony, but unfortunately are late.
Here's Hank's award.
The household arrives while Hank does a school cheer. He's in a happy mood!
You see the yellowish light rays shining down on Zipha? Both she and 2-Rad are solar powered. This is the first time I've noticed that light. You can see it shining on 2-Rad in the previous picture too.
The bots form a study group.
And Beth and Hank do a school cheer together.
Both: Go Llamas!!
The crowd doesn't wander too far away. They stick around to build snowmen, make snow angels and igloos.
And because you can never have too many igloos...they make two. While Ice-Water Man takes a call. Or maybe he's sending a selfie of himself to some lucky (?) girl. These Auroran men remind me of the old saying about Alaskan men. When "lower 48" women ask if there really are a lot of men to choose from up here, they're told: Oh yes. The odds are good...but...the goods are odd!
After studying, 2-Rad crosses the street to dispose of raked leaves in the nearby park. I send Zipha over to help him out.
Then I reward their hard work with a sightseeing ride in the balloon.
They take it home.
The UFO has landed.
Both: We come in peace!
Zipha spends a few last minutes of the day at the Bot Cottage working with her skeleton. The thing blows her a kiss! A dead Lothario?
She tests out the bone structure.
Zipha: Mmm. All parts working.
Hank and Beth end the evening in a romantic mood. A new photo together.
Beth is thinking: We should start a scrapbook.
Some playful kisses.
They make out and head to their bedroom while Jakob watches more cooking programs.
Sensing that maybe he should give Beth and Hank more privacy, Jakob ambles upstairs to play the piano. It doesn't enter his head to go home to his wife and kids! Even though he's dead tired.
2-Rad: Dude! You really need to leave now.
Jakob: Thanks for a great time! Maybe I can come over again tomorrow.
2-Rad: Uh, well...tomorrow's a school day. We're going to be pretty busy.
Jakob: Oh. Ok. Maybe some other time. ...See ya!
Both: Finally! Fun with dominoes. Just us machines.
Goofing around with the new peashooter.
Beth plays catch too before they head back up to bed for the night. Don't want to be around when the zombies show up!
Zombie alert! Fire! Fire!!
Got her! The zombie is down! But don't worry. She's only sleeping. And the peashooter has even cured her.
Rest easy, young lovers! Dream of Spring
