01-05. Spooky Day in Aurora Springs: Part 2

Spooky Day in Aurora Skies
Part 2 of 2

Astrid invited Hank to a Spooky Day party. He chose an interesting costume. I thought it was dragon at first. Then I realized he was a cow plant!
Beth went as a white hot dog. What does one hot dog say to another hot dog? Something about dead meat?
Hank and Beth left the party early. They were both hungry and Astrid hadn't offered her guests anything to eat. So the two went to a nice restaurant in town. Afterwards, Hank asked Beth to go steady. About time!
So where does one take his girl on Spooky Day evening? Well, to the Grim Reaper's place in the graveyard, of course! Hank has the brave trait, so had no issues with the scary cemetery atmosphere. But Beth was a little creeped out.
While Beth checked out the decor, Hank decided this would be a good time to sneak around and do some detecting. How romantic.
He thought the tomb basement looked like a good place for a stakeout.
But the dead weren't talking.
Beth wandered up to the top patio to practice on one of Grim's guitars.
But when she tried to call Grim, she was attacked by his evil pet instead! Grim must have been out with the trick-or-treaters. Thank goodness Beth managed to fight off the...whatever that thing is.
And where is Beth's brave boyfriend during all this? Hank had moved his stakeout outside. I guess he was too busy eavesdropping on the couple whispering in the middle of the street.
Later, Hank also observed a suspicious conversation involving a ghost. I guess the dead WERE talking!
Good thing Beth is a loner and a bookworm. Still having to entertain herself, she studied the magic book to learn the Mood Elevatus spell.
Beth successfully learned a bit of magic.
Hank finally got a romantic "clue" and investigated the sarcophagus for love possibilities.
Beth enjoyed this spooky magical moment too.
Ah yes, Hank. You're quite the romantic.
And so ended Spooky Day in Aurora Skies. The Northern Lights appeared once again...over the cemetery.
And the university.
And over the falls. Later that night, winter arrived with a new blanketing of snow, and Aurora Skies grew even quieter.
