Hera: Well of course!
Piers (clearing throat): The thing is, Hera...that is...I...I like your personality.
Hera: How sweet!
Piers: Yes, well. I think you're also very lovely.
Hera: Piers! Thank you!
Piers: Would you accept these flowers from me? I thought pink would be perfect for your bedroom. ...Not that I've spent any time in your, uh, room! I mean, I don't watch you sleep or anything like that! (blushes and breaks out in a sweat)
Hera: I love them, Piers! So thoughtful. I'll keep them on my night stand right by my bed.
Hera: You know, I really like you too, Piers.
Piers: Honest?
Hera: Oh yes!
(Hera has the Unflirty trait, but she responded easily to Piers' gentle flirts and did a little romancing herself.)
Piers hesitantly tried a first kiss. ...And then he had to leave for work. But Hera was left smiling and happy!
When Piers came home, he found Hera in the rocking chair in his room. He grew bold!
To make sure Hera understood that his intentions were honorable, he proposed they should go steady.
Piers: I want you to know, Hera, that I don't feel this way about any other woman but you!
Hera: I feel the same, Piers. No other man but you!
Piers: I know you don't care for the idea of marriage...and we won't talk about that right now! But don't you think we could commit to each other personally...nothing legal or official or anything too scary! I wouldn't want to force...
Hera: Shhh. I agree.
Piers (with a relieved sigh): Great! I mean, well that's wonderful!
Hera and Piers cuddled on the bed and talked about secret things. There might have been a kiss or two.
Ok, there was a lot of kissing!
Hera: Piers?
Piers: Mmmm
Hera: I have to go to work. It's 5:00 am. ...Piers?
Piers: Already? Damn--I mean--I'll miss you.
And he did. After Hera left, Piers tried to get some sleep, but he dreamed only of Hera.
That evening, during the full moon, Piers and Hera found time for a dance.
They took up where they'd left off that morning.
And made their way up to Hera's bedroom where Piers enjoyed the pink and green decor.
Piers stayed with Hera that night. She dreamed of sunshine. He was just glad his careful plans were working!
But once again, Hera had to get up early for work. She quietly straightened her side of the bed and left Piers peacefully asleep.
Later that day, Hera and Piers ended a rousing game of ping pong with a rousing game of make-out!
Piers showed Hera the new "car" he'd purchased for the household.
Piers: It's not much to look at now, I know. But we need another car. The boarders keep borrowing my car without asking!
Hera: I'm sure the car will work nicely as a second vehicle.
Piers: Absolutely! It's got great features...a radio...convertible top...Let me show you what else it has to offer!
Hera (laughing delightedly): An amazing car!
