Roy got a wish to marry Holly. So as soon as they've made a couple of friends, we'll do that. Holly had a wish to marry Roy before they left Riverview, but it was lost during the move. Maybe she'll get it again. That would be nice. In the meantime, there have been a few small changes ...and a bigger one. No, not a baby--yet!
I didn't like the way the pink roses looked in here, so I changed them out. Holly is level 9 in gardening. She'll take some of this produce down to the Snake Oil Salesman (elixir consignment). Maybe Roy should do her garden consigning though. He's a Born Salesman.
There was a 15x15 empty lot next to the Snake Oil venue, so I made it into a small Gypsy Camp park.
Holly played with the cow plant. Then she got another wish to toadify Roy. She gets those wishes all the time now. I have to watch her queue. Until she knows how to cure toads, there will be no more Game of Toads played! ...Roy was being a Jock with the campfire.
Both Roy and Holly had wishes to buy a horse. I sent Roy over to the Petite Pony Equestrian Center to check out what was available. I usually create my own horses or adopt, so this was new for me. We wanted a male so he could be used for stud services. I didn't want to raise horses with a female.
Of the 3 males, we chose the American Quarter Horse. His traits were Brave and Fast. Brave will help him face jumping hurdles. I also liked his name: Traveller. I recently learned about Irish Travellers when playing Rinn Fada. The name also fit with Roy's early background of being a traveling salesman, and with the family's move here to Wild West.
Roy took Traveller over to a horse ranch for training. Trav gained 2 points in racing and 1 in jumping.
I like Trav's looks, so won't change him, but I'll probably swap his saddle for a western one.
The horse ranch was a place of love! Two married couples were inside the center making out. I sent Holly over here too so she could socialize with folks. She needs to make friends. Roy can do that at work and already has. Riley made a friend at school too.
Roy had to go to work, so I cancelled the training action in his queue. But instead of getting off the horse and driving to work, he rode Traveller! I don't think I've had a sim ride a horse to work before. Luckily, the stadium wasn't too far away.
Roy rode right up to the entrance, automatically unsaddled Traveller and changed into his work clothes. I guess if you're an athlete, you don't mind going to work smelling like horse sweat!
Kids were just getting out of school. This building is a combo school/sports stadium. The lot is further designed for both.
Traveller: So...I guess I just wait here, huh?
I got Trav home and built him a small stable. He also wanted a race track and jump trainers, so I added those--and a horse ball. The family brought that horse gnome with them from Riverview. I left 3 different gnomes for Clyde's family, and Roy's family took 3.
Inside the stable. Simple.
The stable matches the rest of the home and sits at the back of the yard.
I locked Riley's playground so Trav couldn't get in there.
I deleted this rickety patio set. They started eating out here all the time. Why would they insist on sitting in level 1 comfort chairs when they're surrounded by level 3s? I've checked; the other chairs are all usable, no problem.
Gone! Now get inside and eat at the dinner table.
